Adesh Gupta honored at the largest MHM summit organized by Gramalaya at NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi.

India’s largest conclave on menstrual Hygiene Management happened in Delhi, organized by Gramalaya NGO based at Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu, an approved Key Resource Centre for the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, GoI Delhi.

The summit was held at NDMC Convention Centre New Delhi on the 11th & 12th of January 2023, attended by delegates and dignitaries from many parts of India.

The summit was organized by Mr.Damodaran CEO & Founder of Gramalaya. Padma Shri Awardee 2022. attended as a chief guest by Ms. Nandita Mishra, IES, Senior Economic Adviser, DDWS, Ministry of Jal Shakti, and guest of honor by Mrs. Aman Preet IRS, Joint Director Income Tax Gurugram, Ms. Neha Shalini Dua Founder Neha Foundation, Ms. Nighat Abbass Lawyer and Social Activist, Adv. Shri Nandan Jha, Mrs. Priya Bhardwaj, eminent dignitaries and His Excellency Mr. Freddy Svane, Ambassador of the Royal Danish Embassy, in India, and Her Excellency Ms. Olga Gauci, Spouse of the High Commissioner of Malta.

Many Eminent speakers from different parts of the country were in the panel discussion for two days. Some of the warriors for menstrual hygiene were awarded. Mr. Adesh Gupta was is Invited as the speaker at the Summit. CA Adesh Gupta was awarded a special jury mention award for his remarkable work in the sanitation sector. The movie Vardaniya (Beti Ek Vardaan) produced by Mr. Adesh Gupta was also screened at the summit as a Special Screening. And the movie was very appreciated by the panel and the available dignitary.

The main motto of the event is to spread awareness on improving awareness on Menstrual Hygiene and the need for a policy for permitting Safer products for Menstrual health and an easily Biodegradable product to protect the environment.

An exhibition of different MHM products available exhibited by various manufacturers under the Make in India objective was also arranged for the participants to see and enquire about their worthiness.

Gramalaya in its journey of 35 years is successful in converting many rural villages by making 100% of the menstruating women use Washable and Reusable cotton cloth pads and helping the health of women and saving much on the accumulation of hazardous menstrual waste used sanitary napkins all around.

Gramalaya has resolved to conduct such summits in all major cities of India. This is an effort to advocate for corporate companies to come forward to spread awareness of Menstrual Health and Hygiene and help promote the manufacturing of Safe and eco-friendly products in the future.
