Message from Dr. Pratim Sengupta
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Pratim Sengupta remarked:
“Today, we celebrate three successful years dedicated to preventing and treating kidney diseases. Prevention is always better than cure, especially in a resource-constrained country like India. We believe that simple lifestyle changes, like daily brisk walking, can significantly improve health outcomes. On this milestone, we reaffirm our mission to ensure kidney health by expanding to 300 holistic kidney care units and touching a million lives in the coming years.”
Nephrocare’s Holistic Approach to Kidney Care
Nephrocare India distinguishes itself by offering compassionate and affordable kidney care tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Beyond conventional diagnostics, Nephrocare evaluates the physical, mental, spiritual, and energy dimensions of a patient’s health, recognizing the interconnectedness of these elements in overall well-being.
“Our policy ensures every patient is treated like family, with utmost care and love,” added Dr. Sengupta.
Raising Awareness Through Innovation
Last year, Nephrocare introduced its official mascot, ‘Mr. Nephrocare’, to foster a deeper connection with the public. The mascot has since become a symbol of kidney health awareness, encouraging routine health checks and holistic treatment practices.
Addressing the Silent Epidemic of Kidney Disease
Kidney disease remains a silent epidemic in India, with 1 in 11 individuals at risk. Contributing factors include:
- Diabetes and Hypertension: Leading causes of renal failure
- Painkiller Abuse: Third major contributor
- Limited Resources: A severe shortage of nephrologists, dialysis centers, and transplant facilities
Early detection and comprehensive care facilities are critical to addressing this growing challenge. Nephrocare is actively working to bridge this gap by creating a network of kidney care units across India.
Expanding Horizons
2024 has been a remarkable year for Nephrocare. Highlights include:
- SME IPO Listing: Achieved on 5th July
- Vivacity Multispecialty Hospital: Opened at Madhyamgram on 15th July
With a mission to provide comprehensive and compassionate care, Nephrocare India continues to set new benchmarks in kidney health care, aiming to make a difference one life at a time.
